Photojournalism: Cancer Connections

Aaron Whitfield is proud to have contributed four images to PhotoSensitive's Cancer Connections.  

The project was a Canada wide photography exhibition that documented the people that have been directly affected by cancer in their lives.  

The purpose was to encourage more awareness about the huge impact it has on people. 

Cancer Connections launched on May 20th, 2008, in Toronto with approximately 300 images by 250 photographers. The exhibition travelled around Canada growing as it went and ended with a grand finale exhibition of 1000 images in Ottawa in 2010.

The images in this gallery are the original portraits included in the project and documentary images of the opening of the exhibition in Calgary.
