Sports Action/Adventure: 2010 Island Lake Photo Shoot Out

In the midst of a spring storm cycle, the third annual Island Lake Lodge Photo Shoot Out was held.  

The three day event is comprized of six photographers who each select three athletes to work with.  

The first day brought fully saturated conditions with heavy wet snowfall throughout the day. The avalanche danger was high, so we were limited to only a small amount of Island Lake's legendary terrain.  

Only on the third day did the sun come out to play, but only fleetingly.

Included are 25 images that were selected as the best overall portfolio from the event, as well as a moody scenic of the lizard range that won the best overall scenic.
