travel: Japan Cycyling Road Trip

Two friends from Canada, Reid McCord and Aaron Whitfield, cycled over 3,500 kilometres of the Japanese archipelago on a self-supported trip from north to the south of the four main islands.

They started on August 9, 2005 in Sapporo, on the island of Hokkaido. They rode south on their touring bikes they brought from home and pulled B.O.B trailers with all their gear all the way to Fukuoka, on the island of Kyushu.

Japan provided an amazing place to bike tour and the local people were a big part of that positive experience.

On October 26, 2005 the two departed Japan on a ferry to Busan, South Korea.

The images in this gallery are a small collection to reflect the overall experience.
